Rhys Marsh, Senior Advisor – Finance; Power and Renewables
A seasoned financial professional, Mr. Marsh is currently an Asst. Vice President at CIT. He is responsible for originating, structuring and underwriting project finance transactions in the energy space with a focus on power and renewables. He is responsible for over $500 million of capital commitments to more than a dozen power projects across the United States. Mr. Marsh is currently arranging financings for several solar power projects, that combined represent more than 55 MW of capacity and $200 million in total costs.
From 2007 until joining CIT in 2010, Mr. Marsh was a Senior Research Analyst and Trader for LibertyView Capital Management, a credit-focused hedge fund with a focus on fundamental value in high-yield, stressed, distressed and asset-backed markets. At LibertyView, Mr. Marsh pursued a number of energy-focused strategies including investments in a variety of project bonds supporting natural gas-fired power generation and capital structure arbitrage trades within the ethanol space. Prior to LibertyView, Mr. Marsh served as an Analyst for Citigroup Global Banking covering the technology, media and telecom sectors.
Mr. Marsh received his B.A. cum laude from Duke University.
